Case Study: IhreSpezialisten.at

The website of the business association in Vienna's 9th district (Alsergrund), with member directory and newsletter system.

Starting point

The Alsergrund business association represents companies and tradespeople in Vienna's 9th district and wanted a shared web presence that shows the variety of its member businesses. A static information page wasn't going to be enough: members had to be findable, news had to reach the businesses reliably, and the site had to be maintainable by people in the association without a technical background. A club like this has no IT department, and it shouldn't need one.

Solution

The result is a website with a searchable member directory and a newsletter system the association uses to reach its members directly. Both are built so they can be kept current without technical help. The directory is kept deliberately simple: new businesses are added quickly, and existing entries can be updated by the members themselves.

Technical decisions

The frontend runs on Nuxt 4, combined with Tailwind CSS. For a website that will be looked after by changing people over the years, a consistent utility system beats individually grown CSS. A Node.js backend handles the member directory and newsletter delivery. Nuxt 4 brings a solid base for performance and search engines, and with Tailwind new page sections can be added later without breaking the visual style.

Result

IhreSpezialisten.at is live and in regular use. Visitors find member businesses in the directory, the association sends out news on its own, and the technical base can be extended without much effort when new features for the members come up.
